Membership Information
The Mission of Triangle Nia is:
Officers: Elected annually. Current 2008-2009 officers are: Co Presidents, Lynda Heymen
and Julie Ihrig; and Treasurer/ Scribe Kate Finlayson.
Meetings: Conducted on a quarterly basis.
Events: Members of Triangle Nia have opportunities to participate in Nia Jams, Play Days,
Teacher Exchanges, and other events that support our Mission.
Website: Annual dues support our Triangle Nia website which is our primary marketing
vehicle. Triangle Nia teachers can submit the following to Lucy Hohn at niaskylight@
hotmail.com:
Triangle Nia Forum: Since teachers are spread out throughout the Triangle, one of the
tools we use for planning and staying in touch is an online Yahoo Group Forum. All members
are welcome to participate. This private forum is not open to the public. An e-mail
invitation to join will be issued upon payment of dues.
If you are: a currently licensed Nia instructor, living in the Triangle area of North Carolina
and interested in joining us, please submit the following information:

- To create and sustain a community for Nia students to deepen their Nia practice
with classes and workshops. - To support teachers in developing and mastering the principles of the Nia Technique.

- Information about classes being taught. Please submit venue name, address, city,
phone number, website, day and time of class, cost of class and any other pertinent
details, e.g. session dates, restrictions, etc. - Information about any special Nia event including a brief description, photos/art if
available, venue, date, time, and cost.
