One Billion Rising Nia Jam ~ Saturday, February 14 ~ 2:30-4pm

Jazzercise of East Cary

1333 Buck Jones Rd

Triangle Nia presents a special Nia jam as part of the One Billion Rising Campaign, a global call to action based on the staggering statistic that 1 in 3 women (a total of one billion women and girls) will be beaten or raped during her lifetime.

On February 14 from 2:30-4pm we will dance together in community and in recognition of this reality facing women.

$5 per person. Suggested donation: $10

100% of the proceeds will benefit InterAct. InterAct is a private, non-profit organization that provides safety, support and awareness to survivors of domestic and sexual violence. InterAct also promotes violence-free relationships and communities through collaboration, public information, education and advocacy.

Words from Kate:
Spend two weekends focused on “you getting to know your body's needs.” It is a journey worth taking. Fulfill your deepest desires to live a full, vibrant, healthy life. Step out equal parts student & teacher, inspired to share all that you are learning.

Whether for personal growth or to take steps to become a Nia professional, this investment in you will continue to pay dividends throughout your lifetime.

Nia is a physical experience, a workout first, that turns into a lifestyle and for some a profession. It's Physical. It's Dynamic. It's Somatic Education.

Draw in a deep, purposeful breath and imagine yourself as a teacher. A teacher to your kids, your partner, your parents, your co-workers, your friends, your foes, to many.  Modeling principles learned in your Nia Intensive and embodied in your personal Nia practice.
